Kid's Farm Programs

Farmer’s Helpers offers authentic, hands-on farm education programs to help children develop confidence, build community, and learn to become better stewards of the land and environment. 

 

Programs, including school vacation and summer classes, goat yoga and kids events, are tailored to each age group’s needs and interests. As you review the options, select the button for class availability and pricing as classes are offered periodically throughout the year. Toddler Programs

These farm experiences are catered to ages 1-3 years accompanied by parents, caregivers and siblings under 1 year.

Toddler Farm Play

We meet the animals, explore the farm, and play outside together. After each class families may enjoy the farm at their own pace, browse the farm store, or search for the friendly farm cats!

 

Class length is 1 hour. Parents, caregivers and siblings under 1 are welcome at no additional cost.

Goats & Giggles

Toddlers and preschoolers will play, run and cuddle with our curious and playful baby goats. The farmers provide goat treats and an outdoor space to pet, hold, and take pictures. ​ After each class families may enjoy the farm at their own pace, browse the farm store, or search for the friendly farm cats! 

Class length is 45 minutes. Parents, caregivers and siblings under 1 are welcome at no additional cost.

Preschool Programs

These programs offer a full sensory experience for children, ages 2.5 –  5 years. These are drop-off classes but parents & caregivers are welcome to join in!

Little Farmers

Little Farmers learn about farming through stories, games, crafts, and real farm work. Help care for baby goats, cows and our miniature horses! When chores are done, we play outside on the farm and in the surrounding fields and forest. 

 

Classes are 3 hours and meet weekly for 4 weeks.  This is a drop-off class –  parents & caregivers are welcome to join in.

Goat Yoga

Join us for a yoga class that features our friendly baby goats. Led by a certified instruction, move, stretch, explore animal poses and play with the goats! Goat treats and cuddle time are also provided. Classes take place outside, so please dress for the weather and bring a yoga mat or blanket.

 

Class length is 1 hour. Parents & caregivers and siblings under 1 are welcome at no additional cost.

Pony Power Hour

This is an introductory class for ages 2.5 – 5 years that teaches horse safety, how to approach a horse, grooming, leading pony rides and horse decorating.

 

Classes are 1 hour in length and meet weekly for 4 weeks. This is a drop-off class – parents and caregivers are welcome to join in.

Grade K-5 Programs

Experience life on a real working farm! Participate in farm chores, help feed the animals and care for baby goats, cows, and our miniature horses.

Wear work clothes and old sneakers or boots and be prepared to get dirty! Classes meet rain or shine. Bring a snack for the half day, and a snack and lunch for the full day program.

Horse Course

This is a class for grades K – 5. It begins with horse safety, how to approach a horse, grooming, leading pony rides and horse decorating. We then learn obstacle courses, horse walking, horse education, and pony cart driving.

 

Classes are 2 hours in length and meet weekly for 4 weeks.

Pop-up & Virtual Events

We offer pop-up farm and virtual events throughout the year, including No School Day programs.  Check back often and follow us on social medial to learn about and register for these fun activities.
