Farmer's Helpers, LLC
at Chip-in Farm
Chip-In Farm was named in 1944 when members of the Couvee family “chipped in” to purchase a small farm in Bedford. A visit to the farm today brings you back to a simpler time when food was local and farms were family run. The Farmer's Helpers program offers an authentic, process-based, and hands-on farm experience for the next generation. Through Farmer's Helpers participants are given the chance to develop confidence, build community, and learn to become better stewards of their land and environment.

Beth has had a love of animals from an early age, and has experienced the many benefits of interacting with animals and the natural world throughout her life. She has combined her background as a licensed Social Worker with her strong belief in the importance of the human animal connection. Julia grew up in Bedford with frequent visits to Chip-in Farm. She is passionate about getting kids outside and connected to the farm, nature, and their community and recently completed a certificate in Nature-based Early Childhood Education at Antioch. Julia is moving on from her Educational Programs Coordinator role at the farm, but will still be poking around and helping out as needed! She will be back on the farm for visits and to sub in for classes and is excited to watch the educational programs continue to grow and thrive.

Kaylie's childhood was filled with all manner of animals, but into college she followed her artistic dreams to film school. Now into adulthood she has found herself yearning to get back to the farm! She is very excited to be joining a team dedicated to getting people and animals together. She will be taking on the role of Educational Programs Coordinator and learning along with students about the farm and nature. Her favorite animal has always been rabbits, but also has a real soft spot for sheep!
