Connecting the Community to our Farm
Farmer's Helpers offers farm-based education classes and events at Chip-In Farm in Bedford, Massachusetts. We aim to connect our community to the farm through classes, events, farm visits, and traveling petting zoos. Spending time on a working farm gives us a deeper connection to our food and offers an opportunity to spend more time outside, plus there's so much fun to be had on the farm! Our primary focus is on classes and events for children - in a time when our kids have less and less access to the outdoors (and especially to farms), Farmer's Helpers classes give kids the opportunity to develop skills through hands-on activities, real farm work, and outdoor play.
Come for a visit! For a fun outing, visit the Chip-in Farm petting zoo to feed the friendly animals with vegetable scraps provided by the farm. Finish off with a trip to the country store for old-fashioned penny candy, local goods and produce, and our own farm fresh eggs. A self-guided visit to the farm is always free and the animals love visitors!
